Public Sector Working

June 2019

Working in Uganda as part of UEFA's ASSIST Programme, AGC designed a programme to address one of the Government's major social issues, namely homeless children on the streets. Essentially a programme of football coaching combined with life skills allowed FUFA, the local federation, to access Government funds to deliver a valuable public-private partnership programme

Sector Reviews & Recommendations

July 2018

AGC supported the UK small-sided football operator, Powerleague, with a detailed sector report as part of their internal strategic review. This involved a detailed review of emerging trends in football and a set of recommendations designed to help the company sweat its assets going forward.

Major Sporting Events - Bidding Process

2016

Stewart Regan led the Scottish FA's winning bid to host the UEFA 2020 European Championships in Glasgow, working with key stakeholders like the Scottish Government, Glasgow City Council and Event Scotland. Major sporting events can have a significant economic impact on city regions and our experience and consultancy support can allow you to consider bidding for similar opportunities for your sport(s) and city partners.

Capacity Building

2018 - 2019

Working with UEFA across Africa, Asia, Central America and the Caribbean, AGC have assisted in the personal development of over 100 CEO's/General Secretaries from football federations. This has been achieved through the creation of bespoke training programmes for the UEFA ASSIST programme.

Strategic Project Development

October 2008

Emerald Headingley has played host to some iconic cricket matches over the years, none more so than the 2019 England v Australia Test Match, which will henceforth be remembered as 'Stokes' Ashes'. Stewart Regan led the funding, design & build project for Yorkshire County Cricket Club, culminating in the opening of the now famous £21m

Collaborative Working

September 2012 - August 2016

Stewart Regan chaired the Scottish Government steering group which awarded the design & build rights for Scotland's National Performance Centre for Sport to Heriot Watt University, who worked in partnership with Edinburgh City Council and sportscotland. The project cost £33m and became the home of the Scottish FA's national football teams.
